Agents with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Monday thwarted a cargsacking in Washington, DC, which was amidst the rift of the Trump administration on crime in the capital.
The CBP agents were making the city “safe and beautiful” when they received a call about a cargsacking in progress.
A CBP post on X said, “The agents immediately responded to the area and stopped the escaped suspect.”

The agency said that the suspect was arrested and would be accused of several crimes.
The social media post read, “CBP will continue to support all the President’s executive orders and ensure that DC is again safe.”
There have been more than 1,000 arrests in the weeks since the crime rift in DC.
