The Irish Rap Group Kneecap has canceled the US tour due to the band member Liam óg ó Hannaidh’s next court hearing in London,
Mr. ó Haninah, 27, who performed Mora by the name of the stage, was accused in May, after displaying a flag in support of Hizbullah in London’s gig.
He denies the crime and the band says that his members do not support Hamas or Hizbullah.
The matter has been postponed by 26 September.
In a statement posted on social media, the band said “he will have to cancel all 15 tour dates in October by the first date of the tour due to the proximity to the hearing of our next court in London”.
“Every show was completely sold with, for thousands of fans, it is reported that we are sad to give,” it continued.
“But once we win the case of our court, what we do, we promise to make a big tour for all the great chiefs.”
The tour was scheduled to begin on Wednesday 1 October in New York, in which many major American cities were planned.
Rap Trikri, who performed in Paris on Sunday night on Sunday night, said that his employed Canadian shows in Vancouver and Toronto will still proceed.
Mr. ó Haninah, who has appeared in court twice in London, has been on bail since appearing in his first court in June.
