A northern Carolina Maa is sueing Robox, who is accused of allowing her 10 -year -old daughter to exploit her 10 -year -old daughter on the gaming stage.
In Northern Carolina, a mother has filed a case against the Rogox, alleging that the gaming platform failed to protect her 10 -year -old daughter from sexual abuse by a hunter.
According to the complaint, the hunter introduced another child as another child on Robox, giving him the confidence of the girl before sending clear images in exchange for the platform’s virtual currency robx. When he protested, he allegedly threatened to snatch Robrex. The lawsuit claims that Robox created a “pedophile helscpe” despite safe marketing for children.
The filing highlights weak safety measures, stating that only a date of birth, user name and password is required to sign up to Roblox. Until some time ago, adults can also give direct messages to children of any age. The hunter later shifted communication to the text messages, where the exploitation continued. The girl used Roblox over the years to play the game and socially interaction, which weakened, calls the lawsuit.
Roblox replied, saying, “We are deeply upset with any event that threatens our users, and security is a top priority. We dedicate adequate technology to detect and prevent unfair materials and behavior and dedicate adequate resources including 24/7 human moderation.”
The lawsuit argues that this security remains inadequate, emphasizing that proper age verification and strict user screening may have prevented misuse. It also notes that the greed of the robxes often leaves children coming in contact with manipulation by predators.
The case has trusted concerns about child safety on online platforms and newly investigated about companies such as Roblox Sefeguard young users.
