One of the best things about Notting Hill Carnival is a bold look, color costumes and an array of eye -catching hairstyles.
The BBC London went to meet with those working behind the curtain to bring the prestigious look.
Aminata Kamara is a hairstylist working with the Flagz mass band and told us what to make complex hairstyles for the carnival.
He said: “I think for the carnival, this is nothing or anything, so we can throw it all there.
“When it comes to this hair and carnival, especially black culture, it is a large part of the story – and when it comes to our hair, we do not mess up.”
