Ameet Satam, a three -time MLA from Andheri West in Mumbai, has been an active member of the Bharatiya Janata Party for a long time.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed three-term MLA Amate Satam as the new president of his Mumbai unit, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
This decision is ahead of the Juranm Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections being expected later this year. Fadnavis expressed confidence that under the leadership of Satam, the party would aim to regain power in the city’s civic body.
The 49 -year -old Satam has represented the thunderstorms West Assembly constituency for three consecutive terms in Mumbai and has actively involved in the party for many years.
Talking to reporters at the state BJP headquarters, Fadnavis highlighted the party’s strong performance in the Maharashtra assembly elections last year and the dominance established in Mumbai under the Ashish Sheller under the Outgoing City Unit Head in Mumbai.
“The sheller was required to appoint a new President for the Mumbai unit, with the Mumbai unit, with the leadership of Maharashtra BJP President Ravindra Chavan and senior leaders, after discussion at the state level, after discussing the state level, Amit Satam has been selected for the post,” PTI said the Chief Minister said that the Chief Minister said.
The Chief Minister also said that Satam has acted in many prominent roles over the years and is learned and recognized as an outspoken MLA. He said, “He is familiar with Mumbai’s pressure issues and has demonstrated them the ability to effectively deal with,” he said.
Fadnavis expressed optimism about the party’s possibilities led by Satam, saying, “I am confident that the BJP will maintain its victory in the upcoming citizen elections, and I believe that we will regain power in BMC.”
Fadnavis also said that with the support of senior leaders of Mumbai and state, the BJP is ready to set new records in the city’s civic body elections.
