Police have said that they are participating in a road traffic collision involving a car and three children in a housing development in West Belfast.
PSNI said it received a report shortly before 17:00 BST on Sunday that the car had hit the children who were playing on the footpath at the Black Ridge View as it reversed.
Children, two girls and a boy have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
A 37 -year -old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol in breath, causing severe injuries to dangerous driving and failed to stop, failed to report and failed to live there where an accident occurred.
He is currently in custody.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said it removed three emergency employees as well as a charity air ambulance.
The police wants anyone who saw the incident or who has captured a dash-cam or CCTV footage to contact the police in Woodbourne.
