Dehradun/Haldwani/Almora/Rudrapur: In Uttarakhand, every monsoon washes the devastation and roads, the collapse of houses, and there is widespread destruction. This year, the monsoon has been particularly rigid, as disasters in the show Dharali, Tharali, Harshil and Sianachatti. Amidst this annual havoc, children are one of the weakest people, who are forced to study in schools, collapse of government schools despite approved crores for year -to -half repair. Recently, a installment of Rs 20 crore was released for this purpose, yet the reality on the ground is foggy.For many children, the classroom learning space is reduced and a daily struggle to wander in the danger of safety-prolapse walls, leaking roofs, and wild animals. Taking cognizance of the issue, Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat recently directed to complete the repair by March 2026, in which Rs 2 crore was allocated in seven districts and Rs 1 crore in the remaining six. But the state-government people say that it is nowhere which is necessary and the estimated cost for repair is more than Rs 72 crore. Mukul Sati, director of secondary education, said, “We have received proposals from about 1,400 schools. We are sending the remaining demand to the government. It is a priority to repair and ensure safety of these schools.”In Dehradun, officials admitted that 227 primary and 44 secondary schools require immediate repair. In synonyms, the wall of a school border was washed in heavy rains, exposing the complex. In Chukkhuwala, parents are raising an alarm about their local intercolleges. “There are cracks in the roof here. Each downpore weakens it further. We worry about the safety of our children, “said Amit Verma, a parents.In Udham Singh Nagar, 55 schools have been officially declared dilapidated. In Kashipur block, nine schools transferred classes to Anganwadi centers and rain water was poured through torn roofs and walls. At the Rajia Primary School in Jaspur, about three feet of water recently flooded the campus during the rains, which brought the children to the classrooms through water. A primary school in Maldevta on the outskirts of the damaged Doon in the tragedy of 2022 is still to be seen by repair.,
