Indore: A tragic chapter in the world’s largest industrial devastation ended with complete ashes of 337 metric tons of toxic waste at the treatment storage settlement facility (TDSF) at Pithampur in Dhar district on Sunday.Dangerous waste from the Union Carbide factory in Bhopal, preserved in bags in the factor’s premises for more than four decades, was scientifically taken to the Pithapur plant about 250 km in early January.SN Dwivedi, a regional officer of the Pollution Control Board in Indore and in -charge of the Dhar Regional Office said, “The consumer process … was completed at 1 pm on Sunday.” Dwivedi stated that emission, particule matter (PM), sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, heavy metals and total organic carbon, remained within the accepted limit during the accepted limit.He said, “A dedicated real -time mercury tracking system was installed in the campus to monitor its level, while two constant environmental air quality monitoring systems were established in Chirkhan and Bajrangpura villages to monitor real -time air polluting levels,” he said.The consumed process in Pithapur produced about 800 tonnes of ash and remains, which are scheduled for landfill disposal. The remaining materials including packaging and soil, the soil used for transporting 337 metric tons from Bhopal to Pithapur, weighing about 21 tons, is expected to be provoked by July 3.
