Manager Brendon Roders rejected the suggestions of a “conflict” between him and the Celtic Board and insisted that he would not leave before the end of his contract.
The Northern Irishman has talked about his frustration when the Champions League qualifications are attacked as well as maintaining their domestic dominance as well as not being able to increase their squad more widely.
Roders – whose deal is ending in the next summer – left the midway through its third season in Glasgow during its first magic at the club, but says that history will not repeat itself.
“At all there is no chance,” he said. “We have done so earlier, it did not go down well.
“We had opportunities in summer [of contract talks] But I said, ‘Now the season starts, I only want to think about football.’
“I don’t want to think about the contract, just think about football and it will come later if it does.
“I said that I will be here for three years and I have been here for three years.”
The Rogers said on Wednesday after a disappointing draw with Carat Almaty in the Champions League that there was no new addition before the tie “I was not a decision”.
But he said during Friday’s media conference: “There is definitely no struggle. In this club, everyone from the board itself, we want very good, very good for Celtic.
“I am still in the same position. I need to earn the right to be here. Of course, I want what is best for Celtic and I want we really succeed in this short period.
“People will try and look at the struggle between me and me and me and me. This is not really the case.”
