New Delhi: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday shared an indifferent-loaded post, which she planned for Kolkata Metro Project while talking about her days as the Railway Minister of India. The post shared on X came a few hours before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the state.She went to share her journey from the plan to the execution and called it a “additional privilege”. “Allow me to be a little indifferent today. As the Railway Minister of India, I was lucky in the plan and approval chain of the Metro railway corridors in Metropolitan Kolkata. I pulled blueprints, arranged funds, started actions, ensuring that different ends of the city (Joca, Garia, Airport, ATC).“Later, as the Chief Minister of West Bengal, I had an additional privilege to participate in the execution of projects. From the state, I arranged free land, paved roads, arranged for the displaced people rehabilitation, removed depression, and ensured all help in the execution of projects. He said.She finished her post saying, “It has been a long journey for me to expand the metro infrastructure. Allow me some apathy today.”The time of Mamta’s post is important as PM Modi is ready to inaugurate the projects at one step to expand the metro network of Kolkata.The three new parts include Sealdah to Esplaynade (Green Line, 2.6 km), Noipara to Jai Hind Bimanbandar (yellow line, 6.77 km), and Hemant Mukhopadhyay to Belghata (Orange Line, 4.39 km).
