Manchester City defender Ruben Dies has signed a two -year contract expansion.
The 28 -year -old’s previous deal was scheduled to end in 2027, but their new deal would take them to 2029 with an option of 12 months.
Portugal International joined the city from Benfika for a fee of £ 65M in 2020 and was named Premier League Player of the Year at the end of her first season.
The defender has helped the city in four league titles, Champions League, EFL Cup and FA Cup during its five years at Etihad Stadium.
“I am incredibly happy today,” said Dies.
“I love Manchester – this is now my home – and I love fans of Manchester City.
“When I think of the trophies we have won and the way we have played our football during our time, I can’t imagine playing elsewhere.”
