A 14-year-old girl has been arrested after a fire, who entered a abandoned grade I-listed manor house which stood for hundreds of years in Liverpool.
The Mercestic Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) arrived at the Wlon Hall, on the Spec Road, on Tuesday to deal with the blaze overnight at around 20:20 BST.
The Mercesis police said the 14 -year -old girl, who is from Liverpool, was arrested on suspicion of arson and was granted bail after being asked in custody.
DET Inspector Daniel McWini said the fire, which the authorities believe, was intentionally launched, “seems to have a very careless task in a historic building”.
He said that the community would be firm to find those people as “what happened with what happened”.
Reporting the youth gathered by the hall shortly before the police caught fire on the night of fire.
The force has appealed to anyone who was to come in contact.
“If you are a parent or guardian in the field and your child was out that night, we ask that you inquire about their movements and what they know,” Det Isply Mcwhinnie said.
Whoever was driving in the area near Speck Road on Tuesday and may be a relevant footage for investigation, he has also been requested to contact the police.
The main body of the fire was excluded at around 02:00 on Wednesday.
A combined Mercesis police investigation with MFRS is running to establish the cause of the fire.
