Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai left for a 10-day visit to Japan and South Korea on Thursday, with officials aware of the matter to invest in major areas including electronics, automobiles and food processing.
“I will attend the World Expo in Osaka, Japan. Both Japan and South Korea have made significant progress in electronics, automobiles and food processing. Chhattisgarh also has immense possibilities in these areas. We will introduce our new industrial policy and invite industrialists to invest in the state,” Chhattisgarh.
Sai, who is going to leave for Japan from Delhi on Thursday, will return to India on 31 August.
Sai said that after starting a new industrial policy in November last year, the state has received investment proposals so far. 6.5 lakh crores. “Many projects have already started, while others are in the process of implementation,” he said.
More than 160 countries and nine international organizations are participating in the ongoing World Expo 2025 in Osaka organized by Bureau International Des Exposition. The theme of World Expo 2025 is “People’s Living Lab”, which is focusing on a permanent future innovation and co-construction. The pavilion of India highlighted its achievements in information technology, space, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, tourism, culture, infrastructure and railways, exhibiting its world-famous Dokra art with Chhattisgarh, under the ‘One District One Product’ initiative.
