Exclusive: FBI director Kash Patel said that his agency will continue to put resources in fighting crime in Washington, DC, until “not every community is safe.”
Patel said in a Wednesday post on X that 550 people have been arrested in Washington, DC, as President Donald Trump had transferred the metropolitan police department to federate. 66 of those arrests were on Tuesday.
Patel said the FBI was involved in 41 arrests on Tuesday night, in which eight drug seizures and six illegal firearms were recovered.

“FBI’s men and women, working shoulder to shoulder with our local law enforcement partners, have taken hundreds of dangerous criminals from the streets of Washington, DC is a proof that when good police are empowered to do their work, we bring historical resources to bring historical resources in this fight because we do not say that we do not say.”
A White House spokesperson told Fox News Digital that 91 arrests including 25 illegal migrants were made in Tuesday night’s efforts by law enforcement.
