Actress Obre Plaza has said that life is “a daily struggle”, her husband, filmmaker Jeff Bena killed her.
The writer, director and manufacturer died in January at the age of 47.
The Plaza talked about the latter for the first time in an interview on the podcast of its former parks and entertainment co-star Amy Pahaller.
Asked how she was feeling, the plaza said “I think I am fine” before comparing sorrows to a “huge ocean of the terrible ocean”.
“Sometimes I just want to dive into it and just like that,” he said. “Then sometimes I see it, and sometimes I try to get away from it. But, it is always there.”
Plaza and Benna got married in 2021 after working on films including 2014 Horror Life after Bath and 2017 Historical Comedy The Little Hour.
He was found dead in his Los Angeles’ house in early January.
At the beginning of her interview at The Good Hang Podcast, Polaror asked the plaza how she was.
“It’s at the very current moment, I feel happy with you,” he replied.
“Overall, I am here and I am working. I am really grateful to move forward through the world. I think I am fine, but it’s like a daily struggle, obviously.”
The 41 -year -old American actress talked about the 2025 film The Gorge to describe her grief.
The film stars Miles Taylor and Anya Taylor-Joy as two snipers guarding the opposite sides of a mysterious gorge.
“This is actually a dumb analogy and it was like a joke at a certain point, but I really mean it. Did you see that film The George?” The plaza said.
“In the film, there is a rock on one side and a rock on the other side, then there is a gorge in the middle and it is full of all these demons who are trying to get them.
“I swear when I saw it, I felt that I felt how my grief is, or what can be like sorrow. All the time, there is just a huge ocean like that is there.”
According to the Los Angeles County Coroner Investigator, the pair separated in September 2024.
Plaza has also acted in TV’s The White Lotus and Marvel Series Agatha All with, and was talking to promote her new film Honey Not!
Benna was known for writing films like 2004 I Heart Haqbase and Joshi of 2016, The Little Hours and 2020 of 2017 for writing films.
