A northern Carolina Beach Town was rushed to Tuesday morning when a hit-and-run driver crashed into a veterinary office gas line, causing a fierce explosion that sent at least three firefighters to the hospital.
Wilmington Police Department officials said
The building exploded after about 20 minutes as firefighters searched the inside, scattered the debris on the busy road and sent a large pile of black smoke to the sky.

The explosion occurred in less than one mile from the University of Northern Carolina-Villington.
According to the police, the North Carolina highway petrol and other federal partners are assisting in investigation.
