Imphal: Cookie-Zo Council (KZC), Cookie-Zo Body presented a detailed set of public grievances during an official meeting held at the office of Deputy Commissioner, Churachandpur on Tuesday.
The meeting, which began around 12.50 pm, highlighted the 16 major issues related to the welfare and development of the cookie-Zo-Zo-Zo-Zo-Zo.
Amidst the demands of pressure, KZC demanded immediate upgradation of power capacity in Kangpokpi and Churachandpur, repairing and maintaining local roads, and measures to address frequent landslides with Tipimukh Road.
The council also pressured for the development of important roadways connecting Charachandpur to Chandel and Kangpokpi, as well as construction of a bridge over the Imphal River in Jhoomar.
Other issues included posting of neutral officers in sensitive areas, such as Jhadale, especially a Deputy Commissioner and an advocate general in the Manipur High Court, as well as the improvement of judicial discrepancies in transport, police and land revenue offices.
The council highlighted the need for an examination center for the salary outstanding of employees in the Cookie-Zo areas, the salary outstanding scholarship for the Manipur Public Service Examination, the salary outstanding of employees in More College and Semco College and improvement in health services in More.
Concerns were also raised over incredible helicopter services in hilly districts, which, according to KZC, obstructs connectivity during emergency conditions.
The Governor assured the delegation that all complaints would be seen with priority. KZC thanked the Governor for the Deputy Commissioner of Charachandpur for the hearing of his patient and for the meeting for the meeting.
Along with the Director General of Cookie-Zo Body and Assam Rifles (Dgar) at 27 Sector Headquarters, Tuibung, Bhalla also discussed matters of security and stability in cookie areas.
