Little Mix Star Perry Edwards has talked about the trauma of losing a child in 24 weeks for the first time.
The 32 -year -old singer said that in August 2021, she became pregnant after less than a year after her first son, Axle’s birth.
But after passing through a five -month mark of pregnancy, a scan revealed that the baby’s heart stopped beating, which was “the worst day of my life”.
“I remember,” He needs to talk about Paul C Brunson on podcastFighting through tears. “I couldn’t see directly. I was just distraught. We originally lost the child, eg, 24 weeks.”
Edwards described the scan as “experience outside the body” and said she was unable to process the doctor’s words.
This news was sinking only when her fiancée, former liverpool footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlane, “Put my hand on my leg and gone, ‘Oh no’,” he said.
Although the experience was “painful”, Edwards said he had that he had Relaxed from fellow musician Mylene KlassWhich was recently awarded MBE for his work for raising abortion awareness.
The class once said that when you go through an abortion, “the child lives with you”.
“I was so, ‘Oh wow, it’s very magical”, Edwards said. “If I am blessed enough to have another child in the future, I think they are still a part of it somehow.”
Edwards also revealed that Axel, which turns out to be four years old, was a “rainbow child” – a word was used to describe a mother born to a mother, who had lost a child earlier due to miscarriage, stilging or newborn death.
He explained: “My abortion with my first pregnancy was long ago.
“I remember i was pregnant [but] I started bleeding after a long time, and I went to the hospital and I had a scan and they were like, ‘No children.’
“I was so,” Oh, I made it. Maybe I got a wrong positive or something else. “
She was confused about what happened to her gynecologist later to the appointment with her, who told her that she had faced abortion.
Edwards said the disadvantage did not affect her badly as her second abortion.
“I think because it was very early, I was so, ‘Oh, it’s sad.”
“But I think it is really difficult when you are taking you fully and you are 24 weeks and you have planned their rooms and all these things.
“I have never spoken about it before because obviously I have finished a debris and no one knows any other immediate friends and family.”
Singer’s experience is sad that it is not unique.
In the UK, one in five pregnancies end in miscarriage and about 2,000 ends after a pre -delivery screening every year.
In 2017, A report in the AFTERCARE for women who lose a baby during pregnancy It was found that, although care was good and improving many hospitals, it was inconsistent throughout England, making some women feel wrong and distressed at a weak time.
Last year, the Department of Health and Social Care announced a package of new measures to “promote the health and good of women and girls”, including a pilot scheme that will see medical intervention for women after every abortion.
Somewhere else in the podcast, Edwards reflected on his romance with one direction star Zain Malik, a contestant on the X Factor in 2011.
The couple were engaged for a time, but in 2015, the relationship separated in 2015 amidst a hurry of press speculation, including Malik’s infidelity allegations.
“Surely at that time, I felt that everything we had experienced in our relationship was normal. Because it was my first relationship, first love,” she said.
“I was so,” Oh, how should it feel. It’s a little toxic feeling. In some ways, it is probably normal, isn’t it? “
“And then, when I became single, I was almost thinking, ‘I never wanted to go through him’. I didn’t want to meet anyone.
“I was so, ‘I am doing this’. I don’t think I can bear that pain. But now, I am thinking, ‘Oh, it was probably not good’.”
When the band was formed during the eighth series of X Factor, Edwards joined Little Mix, and the group sold 75 million records worldwide.
In the next 11 years, they all became the third largest girl band of time (behind Spice Girls and The Supermates) and the first to spend more than 100 weeks within the top 10 of the UK.
In 2021, he became the first girl band to win the Best British Group at the British Awards – but shortly after he moved to hate to “recharge” and work on single projects.
All four members – Edwards, Leh -Oni Pincock, Z. Thirlwall and Jessie Nelson – have since released music, which are different degrees of success.
