Toronto – The union representing 10,000 Air Canada flight attendants says that it has reached a temporary agreement with the carrier and their strike, which entered its fourth day, is over.

The board, an independent administrative tribunal that interprets and implements Canada’s labor laws, said that the Sangh needs to provide written notice to all its members by Monday that they have to resume their duties.

“If this means that people like me are going to jail, it should be the same. If it means that our Sangh is being fined, then it should be,” said Hancock. “We are looking for a solution here. Our members want a solution here, but the solution is to be found on the bargaining table.”
It was not immediately clear what the board or the government would have done if the Sangh continued to refuse.
Labor leaders are repeatedly objecting to a law of the Canadian government that cuts the rights of the workers’ strike and forces them into mediation, the government in recent years along with workers in ports, railways and other places.
