A dead body has been found by the police discovering the North Yorkshire River for a missing 12 -year -old boy.
Officers were called after 17:00 BST on Saturday, when the boy was seen going into the Swail River at Richmond.
The North Yorkshire police made extensive discoveries with the fire and rescue officers and expert search teams, but said a child’s body was recovered on 22:45 BST.
Police said the child is yet to be identified formally, but the family has been informed and is particularly receiving support from trained officers.
Currently emergency services are on the spot.
Police said death is not considered suspicious.
