New Delhi: The Election Commission said on Thursday that the epic numbers and Aadhaar numbers were already pre-filled or sought from the electric, which need to be filled and presented by them as part of the Special Intensive Amendment (SIR) in Bihar.While the name of the electoral, epic number, address, polling booth name and number, the name of the assembly or parliamentary constituency and pre-pronounced as a state/UT calculation, the Aadhaar number can be recorded by the voter while filling the Aadhaar number. It is optional to present the base details of someone, the base area with any reluctant voter is free to leave empty.An EC official told TOI on Thursday that the EC considers Aadhaar as proof of identity according to the Aadhaar Act. The activist said, “The Supreme Court did not agree on the demand of the petitioners to consider respect as evidence of citizenship.”The worker said that the Supreme Court on Thursday also agreed with the Commission’s dispute that the list of 65 lakh removed voters has already been shared with political parties. “The court has now said that the district-wise, epic-fitted links can also be kept to the website of district election officers and the Chief Electoral Officer for voters who are not able to contact booth-level agents”.According to an EC official, the list of the deceased, permanently transferred or registered at several places, has been registered at several places, shared through its blas with all political parties since July 20, 2025. These lists were provided to Blass in and later during the publication of draft electoral rolls. In a fact-check post on X, EC has shared links of documents signed by Blass and District Presidents of 12 parties including Congress and RJD in these meetings.An EC official said, “These similar lists now need to be displayed/uploaded in Panchayat/Blo/CEO offices/websites, according to SC directions,” an official said.
