The names of Border Security Force (BSF) Sub-Inspector Vyas Dev and Constable Sudi Raba have been depicted in the list of 16 personnel from the paramilitary force, who have been awarded the medal for the medal on the 79th Independence Day, which is exhibited in the operation surrenders.
In addition, five personnel will receive the President’s medal for the Special Service (PSM), while the 46 medal meritorious service (MSM) will also be honored to BSF officers and personnel.
Bravery of sub-accommodation Vyas Dev and Constable Sudi Raba during operation vermilion
During Operation Sindoor, BSF Sub-Inspector Vyas Dev and Constable Sudi Raba were posted in further posts of 7th BN BSF on the international border in Jammu region, and they were wide for replenishment of ammunition for further soldiers. As they were demonstrating this risk-prone mission, an enemy 82 mortar shell suddenly exploded from them, causing many injuries to both.

Despite the devastating nature of his injuries, due to which he faced life -threatening injuries, C Vyas Dev remained conscious, stabilized himself, bravely engaged in his given work, inspired his fellow soldiers and demonstrated tremendous courage. He later performed a painful dissection of his left leg at military hospital, Jammu.
Constable Sudi Raba, equally firm and courageous, shoulder to shoulder with his commander, C Vyas Dev, during significant ammunition repetition operation. They maintained severe explosion trauma, including deep lacquer, thighs, left legs and right ankle injuries in the perineal region. Despite immense pain and deadly wounds, Constable Sudi Raba refused to complete the mission.
Other 14 Brevards of Operation Sindoor, who received the bravery medal
14 other security personnel have been awarded a medal of valor for their extraordinary courage during Operation Sindoor. Assistant Commandant Abhishek Srivastava, Head Constable Bridge Mohan Singh, Constable Bhependra Bajpai, Rajan Kumar, Basavaraja Shivappa Sunkada and Constable Reirswar Burman have been awarded medals on 7-8 May for their works on May 7-8 and under the Sai Mohammed Immblet command on 10 May.
To demonstrate extraordinary courage and operational talent under intensive pressure during Operation Sindoor, Deputy Commandant Ravindra Rathore and his team, who successfully implemented an operation on the international border for the safety of BSF jawan, which was in Peril, who was in Peril, has also been awarded the valor medal.
In response to Pakistan’s vengeance after Operation Sindoor, ASI Uday Veer Singh of 120 BSF BSF ASI Uday Veer Singh demonstrated exemplary courage on 10 May during a massive attack on Bop Jebowal in Jammu sector.
On the night of 9–10 May, Pakistani troops launched a coordinated attack on Bops Carotana Khurd, Karotana forward and 165 BN BSF’s Suchetgarh. These posts came under the fire of 82 mm mortar and machine gun from Pakistani posts- Jamshed Malne and Kasira. BSF soldiers retaliated with accurate fire.
ASI Rajappa BT and Constable Manohar XALXO showed exemplary courage in a ammunition repetition mission to bauge Karotana Khurd on the morning of 10 May.
With 53 BN BSF Assistant Commandant Alok Negi, Constable Kandarpa Chaudhary and Waghmare Bhawan Deora, from 7 to 10 May, displayed extraordinary courage during the intensive enemy fire in FDL Mukhari.
