Democratic Abigail spanbarger On Thursday, the 2025 Virginia is working to create an inroad with voters, releasing its first Spanish-language radio advertisement, before the 2025 Virginia Gubaretorial election.
Former Congresswoman addressed the rising cost, telling voters in Spanish, “I know what it is for families today. I got things for low costs. That is what I will do as Governor.”
Democrats across the country are working to get Latin support to the lost party in the 2024 elections. President Trump infiltrated the national and major battlefields with Latin voters in the last election, beating Vice President Kamala Harris among Latin men. CBS News Exit Polling Found that the economy was the top issue for these voters, and most said they were financially worse than four years ago.
But since the inauguration of Mr. Trump, voting shows that support between Latino is now slipping. Unidos Us Polling In the first 100 days of Mr. Trump’s second term, Latin voters show that only 19% felt that the economy is better than 2024. Compared to 2026, 29% Latin voters believe that the economic policies to be implemented will improve their own personal finance. The economy ranks as their number 1 priority. Sixty percent said that Mr. Trump and Congress’s Republican are not focusing enough to reduce the cost of everyday goods.
A spokesperson for the Spanberger’s campaign said that she is “meeting Latini Virginis, where they are on the-land and in-language-and to continue to connect with virginis in every community, to reduce costs for families, protect communities, protect and prepare the next generation of virgins for success.”
According to the Census Bureau, Latino creates about 11% of the total population of Virginia, and their number is expected to continue to increase. Democratic strategist Chak Rocha feels that Spanberger’s focus on Latin voters is strategically smart.
“We have noticed the last few cycles, Latin votes have shifted 18 points more Republican at the national level,” Rocha said. “She is starting to do a story about what she is going to do to improve people’s lives, and this power issue is the best place to live with Latino right now.”
Spanberger has promised to work to reduce health care and prescription drugs, housing and energy costs as governors.
His advertisement also aims at his opponent, GOP Lieutenant village.Closing the Education Department to support the Trump Administration Policy proposals.
“Sears cuts Trump’s education and health care,” the advertisement says. “We need a governor who fights for Virginia, not Trump.”
Earl-Sires Virginia Gove Glenn is campaigning on his work with Youngkin and promising to continue his agenda if he was elected. On Thursday, his expedition announced the purchase of a six-acknowledged advertisement, highlighting his record and label spanbarger, who represented Virginia in Congress for six years as “Washington Insider”.
She criticizes spanbarger in a TV advertisement, saying that former Congresswoman “voted every time with Pelosi and Biden.”
“This type of beltway will take us backwards only,” the Earl-Sires says in the advertisement. “Governor Youngkin put us on the right path. Now I am asking to keep it in this way for your vote.”
The race of Virginia for the Governor is often seen as a referendum on the administration, as it occurs one year after the presidential election. In an interview with CBS News in June, Spanberger said that the virginis liked the fact that they are one of the two states that would choose a new governor in 2025: “In November, Virginia gets to be the first to be in elections, as well as with our friends in New Jersey, what we want to be able to clarify what we want in our state leadership.”
