British Prime Minister Kir Stmper welcomed Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelansky For London on Thursday, a day before an important US-Russia Summit in Alaska,
Zelansky’s visit to the British capital comes a day later when he participated in virtual meetings from Berlin with President Donald Trump and leaders of several European countries. The leaders said that Trump had assured him that he would give priority to try to get a ceasefire in Ukraine during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Encourage on Friday.
Russian President’s aide Yuri Usakov said on Thursday that the meeting between Mr. Trump and Putin in Alaska is expected to start at around 11:30 pm on Friday. The main subject will be War in UkraineBut there will also be a discussion about economic cooperation between Washington and Moscow.
He said that the meeting would be held at the Elmendorf-Richardson Air Force Base, and that there will be a meeting between the two leaders before joining their delegation.
Mr. Trump and Putin would say a few words at the beginning of the meeting, Usakov said, and they will later hold a joint press conference.
Usakov said that each delegation would have five members. For Russia, they will be Ushkov, as well as Russian External Affairs Minister Sergei Lavarov, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belsov, Russian Direct Investment Fund Kiril Dimitriv head and Russian Finance Minister Anton Silunoanov.
Alaska summit “extremely important”
Both Zelanski and European are worried that the bilateral US-Russia summit will release them and sideline their interests, and that any conclusion can take the side of Moscow and endanger the future security of Ukraine and Europe.
Nevertheless, some of them, such as German Chancellor Frederick Merz and French President Emmanuel Macron, praised the video conference on Wednesday as creative with Trump.
Speaking after meetings from reporters, Trump warned of “very serious consequences” for Russia, if Putin does not agree to stop the war against Ukraine after Friday’s meeting.
Starmer stated on Wednesday that the Alaska summit would be “extremely important”, and there may be a “viable” route for a ceasefire in Ukraine. But he also revealed about European concerns that Trump could attack a deal that forces Ukraine to finish the region for Russia, and warned that Western colleagues should be ready to pressurize Russia if necessary.

During a call on Wednesday among leaders of countries involved in the “interested”, during a call – those who are ready to help any future peace agreement between Moscow and Kiev – Star insisted that Ukraine’s “regional integrity” should be protected to reach any deal to end the fight.
“International boundaries may not occur, and should not be replaced by force,” he said. “Anything about boundaries, diplomacy, ceasefire will have to sit with a strong and reliable security guarantee to ensure that any peace, if there is peace, peace and Ukraine can defend their regional integrity as part of any deal.”
Kiev has long stressed that safety measures against the future Russian attacks provided by their Western colleagues would be a prerequisite to achieve a durable end for the fight in Ukraine. Nevertheless, many Western governments are hesitant to confuse their military personnel.
The country of “interested” countries, including France and the UK, have been trying for months to secure American security support. After Wednesday’s virtual meetings, Macron said that Trump told the assembled leaders that the NATO military alliance should not be part of the future security guarantee, the US leader agreed that “the United States and all parties involved should participate.”
Macron said, “This is a very important explanation that we have received.”
European Council President Antonio Costa also welcomed “The United States’ readiness to strengthen security situations to share with Europe once we only receive peace for a durable and Ukraine.”
“I do not change”
With another high-level meeting on the future of our country on the horizon, some Ukrainians expressed doubts that any success would be achieved during the Friday US-Russia summit.
39 -year -old Olexandra Kozelova, head of a department of a digital agency of KYIV, told Associated Press on Wednesday that he believes Ukrainians “have already lost hope” that meaningful progress could be made to end the 3 1/2 year old war.
“I don’t think this round would be decisive,” he said. “Already adequate meetings and conversations promise us, the common people, that something will be solved, that things will be better, that the war will end. Unfortunately, this has not happened, so I do not change in person.”
A car salesman in Kiev, Anton Vipashik, said Ukraine’s priority should now save the lives of their military service people, even at the cost of giving regional concessions.
“At the moment, the most important thing is to preserve the lives of male and female military personnel. Finally, many human resources are not left,” he said. “There are boundaries, but human life is precious. Therefore, some principles can be disregarded here.”
