The Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelancesi is joining European leaders in a conversation with the objective of raising pressure on US President Donald Trump with Ukraine during a Friday summit with his Russian counterpart at Alaska.
In an online call with Trump on Wednesday, leaders are expected to repeat that no decision should be taken without Ukraine, including the force changing its boundaries.
Trump has said that any peace deal will include “some swapping of the states” and it is believed that one of the demands of Vladimir Putin is that Kiev surrenders parts of the Eastern Donbas region that still controls.
On Tuesday, Zelansky said that such concessions can be used by Russia as a springboard for future attacks.
Russia began a full -scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
A Russian is moving forward with aggressive soldiers in summer, which is suddenly emphasizing near the eastern city of Dobropilia and carries 10 km (six miles) in a short time.
Reducing Russia’s advance, Zelansky said it was “clear” that Moscow aims to “make some definite information places” before meeting Putin that “Russia is moving forward, moving forward, moving, while Ukraine is losing”.
When he meets Trump in Encourage on Friday, no official details can be revealed on what Putin can demand.
However, there is a concern among Ukraine’s European colleagues about Trump’s possibility of agreeing on Putin’s demands.
German Chancellor Frederick Merz has called a Wednesday meeting and is traveling to Berlin to join for video calls with other European leaders, including Britain Prime Minister Kir Stmper, before a call with Zelansky Trump.
Zelansky earlier stressed that Ukrainian “would not gift his land to occupy the occupiers”, and pointed to the constitution of the country, which requires a referendum before a change in its territory.
Last week, Trump said that “the states will have some swapping for the betterment of both Russia and Ukraine – Kyiv and Sparking concern across Europe That Moscow may be allowed to resume Ukraine boundaries by force.
Russia currently controls less than 20% of the Ukrainian region.
Donbas – Made from the eastern regions of Luhansk and Donnetsk – has been partially captured by Russia since 2014.
Moscow now holds almost all Luhanskas and about 70% of Donnetsk, but while speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Zelancesi again confirmed that Ukraine would reject any offer to leave Donbas.
The White House said on Tuesday that the Alaska talks would be a “hearing practice” for Trump and will be added and Putin will sit in the same room, “will give the US President the best signal to end this war”.
It seems to reduce Trump as a “feel-out meeting” on Monday, to reduce expectations that Friday’s meeting can bring Ukraine and Russia closer to peace.
When he announced the summit last week, Trump seemed positive that there could be concrete steps towards peace as a result of the meeting.
“I think my intestine instinct actually tells me that we have a shot on it,” he said.
The Ukrainian leader has earlier stated that without Kiv’s participation, any agreement will be for “dead decision”.
