This was two months in their relationship when Dr. The new lover of Caroline Muirhead confessed that he had killed a man and left him in a shallow grave.
Alexander McCaler offered him to take him to the location where the body was buried – and his quick thinking was important in cracking a case that surprised the police for three years.
Caroline secretly dropped a can of red bull on the spot, in a distance property in the Argil, then called the police to tell them about the location.
The shallow grave had the body of Tony Parsons, who went missing three years ago on a charity bicycle ride.
Tony’s son Mike said without Caroline’s intervention, it was unlikely that his body would have been found anytime – and expressed family gratitude for what he had done.

Mike Parsons told BBC Scotland News that his father was a person who was always firm to fulfill any challenge he had set himself.
Tony was first treated for prostate cancer and wanted to give back something.
So he planned a 104-mile charity cycle for his home in Tilicoltry from Fort William, cycling on Friday 29 September 2017 and through the night.
Mike said that his family began to worry when Tony did not contact him till Saturday night.
“I really read him myself, what is my father and my own feeling, a simple lesson: ‘Are you still alive?”
“Now turning back, it is not good to know that I recited him, what I recited him, knowing that he must have passed away.”
Tony was later reported to have disappearedA major search operation sparking.
The police knew that he passed through Glenko village at around 18:00 on Friday before going to the Bridge of Okchi Hotel in Argyll.
The final was known at the hotel at 23:30 pm that night before he moved south towards A82 in the direction of Tindrum.
As the days proceeded, former police officer Mike and his family became increasingly worried about Tony.
“I knew that Timescles would join,” he said.
“The longer the long time I knew, I knew that in my head it was that he would be very thin likely to be alive.
“But I originally had to convince my mother that there was still a chance, and it is not easy to lie to someone.”
Despite several public appeals, including an appearance by Mike on Crimewatch, it seemed that Tony Parsons had disappeared in thin air.
Then, at the end of 2020, the police received a call that would change everything.
The female collar was distressed.
He said that he was aware of a crime that was done three years ago in the Bridge of Ockian.
It is a hit and run, hiding a body, and lying to the police.
He said that the victim’s name was Tony Parsons.
Caller Dr. Caroline Muirhead was the girlfriend of Alexander McCaler. Known as Sandy, he worked on a nearby property with his twin brother Robert.
After an anonymous letter in August 2018, the police spoke to the brothers, he said that he was on the bridge of the Aurockey Hotel, the night when Tony Parsons went missing, but no further action was taken.
In June 2020, he was again questioned about Tony and was confirmed to be in a hotel with a hunting party that night. However, he said that he had not seen the cyclist.
In November 2020, Caroline Muirhead and Alexander McCaler were together for two months.
He asked his lover if there was anything in his past that could affect his future together.
He told him that he had killed Tony because he had run home from the hotel with his brother, but did not ask for medical help.
Later it was discovered that Tony’s injuries were so bad that he would have lived only for 20 or 30 minutes without help – but it was unlikely that he had died immediately.
Twins left the area and returned to the site in another car before Tony’s body was taken to Estate, where they buried her.
Mike Parsons said: “What he did was inhuman and you will not do so for animals.
“He killed him by not demanding any medical treatment.”
After confessing his girlfriend, Alexander McKerler took her to a shallow grave, where Tony’s body was buried.

Mike Parsons said that he had shown “remarkable foresight”.
“Being cruelly honest, I am not sure if I was in the same situation, I would have done it and thought in the same way.
“From my point of view, I have nothing but a large -scale gratitude, because he did not do so and put himself in these positions, so we would never have found our father’s body.”
Tony’s body recovered From the grave in January 2021 after a two-day operation by expert officers.
He suffered a “frightening” rib, pelvic and spinal fracture after the collision.
Tony’s funeral The Sterling was held in April 2021 at the crematorium.
The brothers were arrested twice and questioned by the police, but initially there were non -cooperatives, “no comments” interviewed.
With evidence against twins, the police eventually accused the pair of murder.
In July 2023, shortly before his testing was going to start in the High Court in Glasgow, Sandy McKerler accepted Less allegations of convicted murder.
His brother was not guilty of accepting the murder, but the pair tried to defeat the end of justice by covering the crime.
Sandy McCaler was 12 years sentenced to jail in jailWhile his brother was jailed for five years and three months.
Mike Parsons said that no punishment would ever be enough.
“She has left my mother without a husband and without us.”
Mike said he would like his father was remembered what was good in his life rather than his death circumstances.
“For me, he was an angry old father whom you used to do with your run-in again,” he says smiling.
“But, I would like people to remember him as just the man who wanted to help everyone.”
