A Madhya Pradesh person was forced to take his wife’s body on his motorcycle after being killed in a hit-and-run on the Nagpur-Jabalpur National Highway.
A heart -wrenching video of this incident appeared on social media, in which the woman’s body can be seen tied from behind because the man keeps driving.
The news agency PTI, citing the police, said that the 35 -year -old man was trying to take his wife’s body home. The incident took place on 9 August near Lonara in Nagpur.
According to the police, Amit Yadav, a resident of Soni district in Madhya Pradesh, was traveling with his wife Gyarsi with his village Karanpur, when the truck hit his motorcycle. Gyarsi fell on the road and went by vehicle, which fled from the spot.
Police said that Yadav pleaded for help from passing the motorists, but no one stopped for help. Left without any alternative, he tied his wife’s body to his home to the Pillian seat.
A police patrol later stopped him and took the body to Indira Gandhi Medical College in Nagpur for the post -mortem examination.
A video of the incident allegedly recorded by the police has gone viral on social media before stopping the two-wheelers. It is remembered that Yadav hangs uncertainly from the seat with his wife’s body.
The police have registered a case under the relevant provisions of the Indian Nana Code and started an investigation. Officials said efforts are underway to locate the truck and its driver.
