Lindsay’s lawyer, Chris Peret, told The outlet in a statement that his client did not know that two suspects wanted to have a murder and Lindsay was adamant about his innocence.
“My customer JT Lindsay has been arrested on the allegations of ‘after Accessory’ to desire in Alexandria, the age of two persons, 17 and 18 years of age, who unknowingly, who wanted to stay in his LSU apartment for a night starting on or around 24 July.”
“It is alleged that two people wanted for crimes that were accused in the middle of 2025 in between Alexandria, Louisiana. There is no allegation that JT Lindsay was involved anyway, or in any way was associated with the alleged crimes of the arrested persons.”

Perat said that Lindsay is cooperating with the authorities.
He said, “He was unaware that the arrested persons committed a crime or were accused of any crime, or that they wanted to interrogate the police when they allowed him to stay in his apartment,” he said. “Did he know that individuals were accused of any crime or were desired by the police, he would not be associated with them in his apartment or in any way.
“Also, at any time JT Lindsay did nothing, nor took any action, nor to demonstrate any intentions, to hide or assist any prosecution and now arrest, apprehension, litigation, punishment or punishment for arrests to arrest people.
The LSU said it was aware of the arrest of Lindsay and “there would be no comment out of respect for the legal process.” Perate said Lindsay was suspended for some time.
