About 60,000 people have attended the Manchester Caribbean Carnival at the end of this week.
The dancers and musicians performed during the two -day free program in and around Alexandra Park on Moss Side.
The annual festival began in 1972 to celebrate the Caribbean community, heritage and music.
The link to the moss side with African and Caribbean history is believed to be returned to the world wars, when the servicemen and the semen settled in the region.
