Sasaki allowed two hits, hit five and one went away. The right -handed batsman threw 46 pitches, for 26 strikes.
Yoshinobbu Yamamoto started for the world series champion and worked in four innings of two runs before Sasaki’s arrival.
Reds put two runners with one in the fifth, but Sasaki survived the jam after seeing both TJ Freedal and Matt McLin -.
In the sixth, with two outskirts and runners in the second place, Sasaki retired Noelevi Mart on a popup first.
Dozers won 4–2.
The 23 -year -old Sasaki agreed to a minor league contract with Los Angeles in January, including a $ 6.5 million signature bonus. He was considered an international amateur -free agent under the Major League baseball rules, leaving the Pacific League’s Chiba Lot Marine under the posting system.
If Sasaki waited for two more years, he could command the Nau-Tankra contract as a free agent.

Dosters are expected to take a cautious approach with Sasaki after being interrupted by injuries in the last two sessions. Last year, he had some shoulder inflammation and a slant injury in 2023.
The team plans to use six-man rotation several times this season to relax more for its initial pitcher.
