MakemiTrip has launched a generative AI-based trip planning assistant, which has expanded its existing capabilities to include support for consecutive travel booking in English and Hindi. The auxiliary, called Myra, aims to support users through the entire travel journey from destination search to post -sale support.
The new subsidiary makes the current AI on the infrastructure and introduces the voice and lesson-based input to allow users to interact in many Indian languages. The beta version currently supports English and Hindi, with a plan to expand language coverage after evaluating the initial user response.
Myra allows users to ask detailed questions like “Where can I go for a comfort holiday with my children in August?” “According to the company, the assistant is designed to handle plan, recommendations and booking within a single conversation.
The platform supports the text, voice, image and video input, and can handle changes in the journey program in categories including flights, hotels, holidays, transport, visas and forex, route planning, route planning and post-booking customer support.
Rajesh Mago, co-founder of MakeMytrip and CEO of the group, said that the company is expanding digital access to a comprehensive user base by enabling Hindi and other Indian languages. He integrates various layers of system data, including user preferences and supply-side inventory, to create a spontaneous booking experience.
Group CTO Sanjay Mohan of MakemiTrip said that the new system is specially created using a network of AI agents and custom language models, developed at home. He described the framework as capable of working in categories in real time, allowing interaction and coordination between various service verticals within a session.
Makemytrip first included Genai features in its main platform in 2023. The latest update is part of its widespread AI integration strategy, which includes devices such as future train booking, voice-based customer support and price protection features.
The company plans to expand the capabilities of the assistant to include semantic discovery with image and video content in future updates.
