The charity regulator has found that there was no evidence of widespread bullying, harassment or misunderstanding in Santabel charity established by Prince Harry.
The Charity Commission has published its findings in allegations of whistleblower that took place after a bitter boardroom dispute Prince Harry is resigningWith many trustees, earlier this year.
It has not imposed any restriction – and the current leadership, headed by Sophie Chandauka, will remain in donations that support young people in Southern Africa.
But the Commission criticized “all sides” to allow the “harmful” controversy to play publicly – and gave the charity a regulatory action plan to deal with the “weaknesses of governance”.
This is a bitwatch result for Prince Harry that left donations, which his spokesperson said was “deeply individual” for him.
Most criticism of the Commission focuses on how internal disputes landed in such public logic in the media, which said that it has damaged the reputation of charity.
Row accused Rajkumar Harry of being united “Toxic” brand Ms. Chandauka on the charity chair – and she stepped down, saying that she and the trustees had a “beyond repair” with her and the trustees had broken and she said that she was “faced”Bang lies,
David Holdsworth, Chief Executive Officer of Charity Commission, said, “The problems of Sybel were played in the public view, causing a harmful dispute to harm the reputation of the charity, risk to reduce its achievements, and to distribute the charity to distribute to very beneficiaries.”
Although Prince Harry’s team welcomed the discovery that there was no evidence of bullying, a spokesperson stated that the report “will not be borne by him” the results of the existing chair.
The current chair, Ms. Chandauka, remains on the head of charity, in which there is no reason to not continue the watchdog.
A Santabel spokesman said the report confirmed that the new trustees were validly appointed and “free from intervention” could proceed.
Ms. Chandauka said that the “unfavorable media campaign” from the charity resigned caused “disqualified damage”.
“We are not only grateful to survive, but are strong,” he said.
The Charity Commission also said that although there was no evidence of broader or systemic bullying or oppression, including wrong or misoginor [discrimination against black women]This accepted the “strong perception of sick treatment felt by many parties” and stated that it did not role it as a regulator to postpone the individual claims of the bullying.
The Commission has not approved any person, but its regulatory action plan is to address problems such as lack of clarity on roles and a better mechanism to handle internal disputes.
This warned of “weaknesses in charity management”, which added to disagreement.
Investigation states how tensions were increased around a new funding strategy in the United States, that is believed to have with some trustees Concerns about charity finance increased,
The action plan warns the importance of “adequate money enough to enable charity to donate to its beneficiaries”.
The Charity Commission website has still been showing the financial position of Sentabel since August 2023 – but sources close to the charity say it is in good financial health.
Charity was a very individual project for Prince Harry, which made his resignation even more difficult. Santabel was co-established with Prince Sisiso of Lesotho, both respected their mothers’ legacy.
A spokesperson from Prince Harry said, “For 19 years, its dedicated employees and strong supporters have provided significant care to over 100,000 youth in Southern Africa, facing young and mental health challenges living with HIV/AIDS.”
Prince Harry spokesperson stated that the charity was grown to become a “Flowering Force for Goods” and “will now focus on finding new ways to continue the support of Lesotho and Botswana’s children”.
Ms. Chandauka said: “Despite recent unrest, we will always be inspired by our founders, Prince Harry and Prince Sissiso.”
The Charity Commission concluded that running the charity should not give disagreement so that they could forget their early good intentions and focus on them that they were trying to help.
“The passion for a reason is the basis of volunteer and charity, which provides positive effects for millions of people at home and abroad every day,” said Mr. Holdsworth.
“However, in rare cases when things go wrong, this happens often because it has become a weakness rather than a lot of passion.
“While moving forward, I urge all the parties not to lose the vision of those who rely on the services of charity.
“Current trustees should now improve and ensure that the charity focuses on distributing to those who exist to serve.”
