Two teenagers were rescued after being trapped on a rocky verge with a sharp-throttle tide.
The rescue team left a rock to reach the boys, which were trapped on the Greenway Beach in Cornwall, as the waves at around 18:10 BST on July 26.
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard has now issued a warning on other swimmers and beaches after the incident.
Senior Coastal Operations Officer Robin Snags said: “It goes to show how easy it is to be caught by the tide, especially if you are going to a place where you do not know well and you are from rocks. The tides can come to different levels in different days.”
Fortunately, a member of the public dialed 999 when he saw teenagers on the rock.
According to HM Coastguard Padsto’s Instagram Feed, the rescue team had to “fight with the face of large braking waves and unstable rock, as they recovered the boys one by one”.
Mr. Snags advised people to check the tide time and be aware of the water situation. He said that people should be careful around rocks and take a mobile phone.
