Instead of entering the Gold Cup on a high high, the United States’ National Team is lame in this summer tournament and is hoping to bring itself back on the track.
This is because a lot is going on at this time. Christian police are sitting out to rest after a long season with AC Milan, a decision that has made a drama between backlash from former USMNT stars such as Landon Donovan.
Other current USMNT Mainstays – Weston McCeni, Tim Vah, Antony “JD” Robinson, Ceregino Dest, Gio Reyna, Follerin Balogun and Ricardo Payi – Clubs are not with the team due to the recovery of World Cup commitments or injury. These absence has forced the manager of USMNT to call Maurisio Pocheto in a green roster – one that is an average 16 cap – with even more limited experience in official competition.
More pressure, however, has the results of two favorable matches this week. The US was defeated 2–1 by Turkeeya on Tuesday before proceeding 4–0 by Switzerland on Tuesday. Now, there is not much time to re -organized as the USMNT has started the Gold Cup competition against Trinidad and Tobago (6 pm on Fox) before facing Saudi Arabia and Haiti.
The negativity around the team seems heavy, but players are just trying to correct their mind.
The veteran center back walker Zimarman told TNT broadcast after TNT broadcast after Drubing by Switzerland, “I think a game, one half, and easy to be, ‘Oh, it is all going into pieces. They can’t come back from it.” “Things change. It is not the end of the world. We admit that it is not quite good and we realize it, so this is where disappointment comes.”
Zimmarman mentioned the build-up for the 2022 World Cup and in June of that year, the USMNT beat Morocco 3–0 in a friendly. Six months later, Atlas Lions inspired a nation and made history by moving forward in the World Cup semi -finals.
“We have to flip the script,” Jimarman continued. “We make sure that we do not again come out in that way, especially when we enter the Gold Cup.”
But can this motali crew of uneven players recover from disaster quickly and respond? His allegation is not only to win a Gold Cup trophy – the players have said how they will define success in this summer – but more importantly, one year from now to give a statement in the World Cup on the soil of the house.
“Boys are motivated to play in Gold Cup,” Pchethino said. “After Türkiye was good. We made nine changes [to the lineup vs. Switzerland] And the combination did not work. That’s it.
“We can lose, but we can win the Gold Cup and come to the World Cup and do well.”
Additionally, the Gold Cup still represents a large -scale opportunity for young and inexperienced players to make some noise and influence Pocheto so that he can become part of his World Cup roster plans. Midfielders Diego Luna and Jack McGlin, both 21, are examples of this. Luna has proved that he can play through a broken nose and has a constant energetic appearance on the field. McGlin, who did not play against Switzerland, has scored two goals initially its first two USMNTs.
The area is open.
“I think if you ask someone to write 26 names for the next year, there will be a lot of spots that are impartially available,” Zimarman said. “And we have to identify it as players and take the opportunity that we have every day of training, every camp that we have to try and be one of the places.”
Most of the most, players are desperate to give recent results behind-USMNT has now lost four straight games and is out of 9–2 in those competitions. They have to find ways to score goals and win the game, or it may end in the last summer when the squad did not exclude it from the Copa America Group Stage. The tournament was also done before two tune-up friendly, including losing a 5–1 to Colombia.
Despite this, the team has no option. Gold Cup is starting and they have to play the game.
“This is a huge opportunity,” said Zimraman. “One who I think every player should take seriously with both hands.”
