After launching the switch 2 console, new tariffs and after months, the US has a nintendo set to increase prices on many switch models and accessories.

Nintendo switch: price increase details
Nintendo recently shared the news in a brief statement on his website on 1 August. The company said it is adjusting prices for some products in the US, but at this time there is no plan to increase the price of new switch 2 console, its games or online service membership. However, Nintendo admitted that a change in future price may be necessary.

The exact new prices were directly confirmed by Nintendo, but a user on the social media platform X, known as Wario 64, saw that the target briefly raised prices on several nintending items before the target reversed them. Changes in the price seen include:
- Nintendo switch: $ 300 to $ 340
- Nintendo Switch Light: Growed from $ 200 to $ 2300
- Nintendo Switch OLED model: $ 350 to $ 400
- Nintendo Alarmo: Growed from $ 100 to $ 110
- Joy-Con 2 Controllers: Growed from $ 95 to $ 100

Effect of American tariff
Daniel Ahmed, an analyst at a video game industry of Nico Partners, connected the increase of these prices with tariffs on goods from Vietnam, China and Japan, which are important countries for the production chain of Nintendo. Ahmed said that these tariffs may increase the future price for switch 2, Android police said.
Other technical companies have also raised prices in response to tariffs. Microsoft increased the prices of Xbox hardware but reversed a planned hike on sports prices. Brands such as OnePlus, Lenovo, and notable have also adjusted their product prices in the US as tariffs have been effective.
