Police recovered three mobile phones and six fake SIM cards from their possession.
Officials said on Thursday that the police arrested two persons for cheating people by creating a fake social media account of Haryana ADGP Alok Mittal.
According to the police, the accused has been identified as Sahid (20) and Munfaid (27), both as residents of Pachgaon village.
Both were arrested on Tuesday night. Police recovered three mobile phones and six fake SIM cards from their possession. The devices included fake Instagram accounts and screenshots that belonged to cybercrime.
Police said the accused had used a prominent person of Haryana ADGP Alok Mittal and Vasant Kunj to cheat people under separate schemes.
During interrogation, the accused admitted his crimes. He was produced in court and later sent to judicial custody. The police spokesman said that further investigation is going on.
