A stretch toy figure of Marvel’s The Hulk, “one of the most rare stretched toys in existence, is called £ 3,900.
The toy was expected to bring an Excelibur auction between £ 3,000 and £ 5,000 on Saturday to Kings Langle, Heartfordshire.
It is said that 1979 is one of the only 30 examples of the original Hulk Stretch Figure that still exists.
“We were excited to offer this rare piece of nostalgia today, who made a UK auction record for a figure of its kind,” Jonathan Torod said from the auction house.
“We saw the competitive bid on the phone and the Internet, with it it won for a private collector in the UK, where we hope it would be as much nurtured by its new owner as it has been done by its previous one.”
It was built by Tymaker Denys Fisher and came directly from its original owner.
Hulk Figure Watherbi was manufactured in thoro arch near West Yorkshire, and sold only in limited quantities in Britain.
This anger, green-chasi figure was with a child whose mother knew someone who worked for Dennis Fisher, and had already bought one from the production line.
Excelibur said the figure came up with its original instructions and was never introduced for sale as it was first purchased in 1979.
