Leeds railway station was closed on Saturday due to a mistake with the signaling system.
Network Rail said the signaling problem occurred at around 16:00 BST and was set by around 17:00 by BST, but the journey would be disrupted for the rest of the days.
It said that trains were canceled from cities, and through the city, delayed or diverted up to two hours.
Train operator Northern reported “serious disruption” over all his services and said: “We ask that customers do not travel.”
