Washington – The house will leave the city quickly for the summer break of its month as members collide on the release of files related to child sexual criminal Jeffrey Epstein.
The Lower Chamber was originally scheduled to be in the session through Thursday, but the votes were scrapped as a democrats and some Republican used to push for a floor vote to force the release of Epstein files. After votes on Wednesday afternoon, MPs will now go home till 2 September.

House speaker Mike Johnson accused Democrats of playing “political sports”.
Louisiana Republican said, “We all understand that the US is the best service to the first agenda and American people at the Democrat Side Show, and that is what we are doing that we are not allowing the Rules Committee to continue that nonsense this week,” Louisiana Republican said.
He said, “We are not going to use him as a political beating Ram. The Rules Committee became a land to do so,” he said.
