Smriti Madhana scored a stunning century as India provoked England’s heaviest T20 defeat by a wide 97-run Triumph at Trent Bridge.
The opener blitted 112 with 62 balls for his young woman T20 International Hande, as India posted 210-5 on a flat surface in the series opener.
This was the second largest total England that accepted in the format and had no response to Madhana’s class, who hit 15 fours and three sixes in a remarkable innings.
The 28 -year -old left -handed batsman put England under pressure from off and number three Harlen Deol contributed 43 fast with 23 balls, helping India to post its second largest T20I total.
It was a clear reminder of the task. England still have to kick-off the new era under coach Charlotte Edwards after the west Indies’ encouraging T20 and one-day international series sweeps.
That feeling was only enmity as the domestic side lost four wickets in the first seven overs of Chase, the Captain Nut Scivor-Brant provided the only resistance.
The game had gone for a long time when the Skyvar-Bunt was eventually rejected for 66 runs in 42 balls as England started 113 with India’s left-handed spinner Mr. Charani, scoring 4–12 runs in the debut.
A series of five matches gives England a lot of time to try and keep things correctly, but a lot is to be addressed in Bristol before Tuesday’s second T20.
