Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, says he was “not surprised” Christian Hornar was dismissed as a team boss of Red Bull.
Horner was dismissed as Team Principal and CEO of Red Bull on 9 July, his driver Max Verustapen three days after finishing fifth in the British Grand Prix.
Brown told Canadian television channel TSN: “I am probably [surprised by] Time, but not the result.
“A lot of drama has been done in the last few years and it does not seem that the play is getting calm – maybe worse. So I am not surprised.”
Red Bull has not given any reason to remove the Horner, which has been replaced by Frenchman Laurent Mecis, who was the principal of the second team racing bulls.
Horner led the team since its debut in 2005. His departure came after 17 months when it was revealed that a female employee accused him of sexual harassment and forced control, controlling behavior. Two separate red bull internal investigations dismissed the allegations, which Horner has always denied.
Since then, the red bull has passed through a temporary period, including a decline in their competition.
His Chief Technical Officer Adrian Navy resigned in April last year, at least partially as a result of allegations against Horner. Newey – The greatest F1 is considered as designer in history – now works for Eston Martin.
In July last year, long -term Sports Director Jonathan Wheatley also resigned. He is now the team principal of Saubar, who is being converted to Audi’s factory team next year.
And in September, the Red Bull Head of Strategy Wil Corten signed for McLaren. He is currently being held for his contract and is expected to join his new team next year at some point.
