First on Fox: Eric Floors, an army veteran and former federal prosecutor, on Monday launched a Republican campaign for the Congress in a major battleground house district of Texas.
“We need less politicians and more fighters who will first put our communities,” Flores said in a video, “in a video that was previously shared with Fox News Digital.
He said that “in Congress, I will stand with President Trump, I fight and distribute every day for South Texas.”
Floors is running in Texas’s 34th Congress district, which is spread along the south of Corpus Christie to the border with Mexico. This includes brownsville and extends westward to include parts of McClen.

This district is one in 26. The National Republican Congress Committee (NRCC) is targeting the mid-term elections of 2026, as the campaign of the house GOP defends the party’s razor-thunder majority at the Branch Chamber.
A major pickup for the district Republican seems to be likely, as it is trending to the right. Former President Joe Biden took the district to 15 points in the 2020 White House race. Four years later, President Donald Trump won the district by about five points.

However, Democrats took the district in last year’s Senate elections, with now a formmer rape.

Floors who meet with NRCC officials are a Spanish speaker who grew up in the Rio Grande Valley.
He was commissioned in the US Army as an infantry officer and came to the post of captain. He has served at the Texas Army National Guard and commanded troops during Operation Guardian support along the US southern border with neighboring Mexico.
Floors is also a former assistant American Attorney, which helps in the prosecution of cartel and conducting human trafficking. The biography of his campaign also notes that Floors blamed one of the most wanted fugitives of “Taxas’s ‘Top Ten’-recognized achievements with the US Attorney Awards.”
Floors, who also worked as a municipal judge in Elton, Texas, currently a partner in a state -wide legal firm, where he leads the litigation department, defending municipalities and school districts in Texas. He is married and is the father of two children.
“Every day, I see how broken policies hurt our community,” the floors said. “Is enough. Politicians first placed themselves, while the valley is left behind.”

Floors said that “President Trump stood for internal sources and fought for places like us: The politicians of the community always forget. We cannot lose this opportunity. So I am running for Congress. We need bold, royal leadership, and we need it.”
While many other Republicans are running in GOP Primary in the district in next March, Floors are considered the only major Republican candidates.
