A couple saw the roof ripping over their heads by a tornado that they were getting ready to go to their hot tub when the twister was killed.
During the extreme weather incident on Saturday afternoon, fans were destroyed in the village of Bishop Auckland of County Durham and the windows were broken.
Will Jones and his wife Ann, whose test was caught on the CCTV system of his neighbor’s house, was preparing to use the hot tub in his summer house when he suddenly found himself out.
“The roof went away, it was this, and we thought ‘right, let’s go back inside the house”, “Mr. Jones said.
The pair decided to go for a dip after returning from the shopping journey.
“Of course, as soon as we sat in the summer house, the rain bus came down and then suddenly went to the roof,” he told BBC Radio Tees,
“One minute it was here, the next minute went, and so everything was.”
Mr. Jones said that high winds converted concrete positions into “toothpicks” between their wooden fence panels, which were forced.
He said, “Fortunately no injuries were hurt and not a single car was damaged.”
He said that his wife had started seeing what he could do with his insurance.
Neighbors also saw their roofs damaged and the windows came in.
“We have found a lot of neighbors around here who are all helping to exclude each other,” Mr. Jones said.
He said that the cleaning operation was now going on in his back garden.
“I was a day off yesterday and I thought,” No, I am not going to deal with it at all, I will do it tomorrow, “he said.
