Fox News Digital said earlier this month that the FBI started a criminal investigation at Elder Komi and former CIA director John Brainon.

President Trump fired his father from the FBI during his first term. Asked why Trump fired young Cumi during a news briefing on Thursday, White House Press Secretary Karolin Levitt said that the decision came from inside the Department of Justice.

Comi did not immediately respond to an email and demanded comment.
