Alaska Airlines is asking the federal aviation administration for a system-wide ground stop due to “IT outage”.
In a statement by CBS News, the carrier hurt that, “In Pacific at around 8 pm on Sunday, Alaska Airlines experienced an IT outage that is affecting our operation. We requested a temporary, system-wide ground stop for Alaska and horizon air flights until the problem was solved.
“We apologize to our guests for this inconvenience. Our operation will have a residual effect throughout the evening. If you are traveling tonight, please see Your flight conditions Before leaving for the airport. ,
There was no immediate word on the effects of ground stops at various airports or due to IT issues.
