A delta air lines flight experienced a clear engine fire soon after leaving California earlier this week.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), on Friday, July 18, Delta Flight 446 left for Los Angeles International Airport (Lax), but was forced to return locally and make a safe landing at around 2:10 pm.
The video published by YouTube channel La Flights shows the flames coming from the left engine of the aircraft immediately after the takeoff.
In recording, passion, one of the channel’s co-owners, can be heard expressing concern over the fire.

“Wow, look at him! Wow, what’s going on? These are not good people,” Josh can be heard commenting in the video because the fire is shown.
The same video depicts emergency response vehicles around the aircraft as it taxed on the Termac.

The Boeing 767–400 was led by Heartsfield-Jacquenta Atlanta International Airport (ATL), when it returned due to fire. The FAA has confirmed that it is currently investigating the case.
A delta representative said that the aircraft returned to the lakes immediately after the takeoff due to a warning related to the left engine.

“Los Angeles returned immediately after departure after an indication of an issue with the left engine of the delta 446 aircraft,” an airline spokesman told Fox News Digital. Delta also forgives passengers for disintegration in their plans.
The statement said, “As is not more important than the safety of our customers and crew, the flight crew followed the procedures and returned to the gate safely. We apologize to our customers for delay in our travel plans,” the statement said.

Delta shared that 226 passengers along with two pilots and seven flight attendants were members of the nine crew members. Everyone was able to get out of the aircraft normally, and the passengers were later transferred to another aircraft.
The airline also confirmed that both local firefighters and delta’s maintenance team inspected the aircraft after the incident.
