One person has died and two people are missing after a group of six people flowed on a waterfall in Oregon on Saturday afternoon, a local Sheriff Office said.
The Deschuts County Sheriff Office stated that it rescued three people of the River DaScuts, who were rushed to the hospital, while another person was declared dead on the spot.
Emergency respondents used drones to search for the survivors near Dillon Falls after receiving emergency calls in the afternoon and planned to resume the search efforts on Sunday after staying overnight.
Dillon falls have a 15-foot (4.5 m) drop that according to the Central Oregon, “a quick, step ladder-like patterns chop the rapids in the pattern”.
The upper Falls of the DaScuts River is near the city of Bend in the Deschuts National Forest, a popular place for visitors.
In each summer, thousands of people float on the internal tubes on the boat, kayak or river, which along with the areas of whiteness, as well as trout and salmon fisheries.
Local fire and police officers respond to 911 calls around 15:00 PDT (21:00 BST)
Officials have not yet received the names of the victims so that they can inform family members first.
