An official said on Sunday that at least four people were killed and two others were hurt in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan after a part of the soil.
The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), local police and civil defense teams have been taken to the spot. Officials said relief and rescue operations have started.
Bharatpur District Collector Qamar Chaudhary confirmed the incident and said, “A total of 6 people have been rescued. Four people have been admitted to the hospital. Two people have been declared dead. Two more casualties have been reported. Two has been reported. Two has been treated.”
On the incident of Madslide, the Collector said, “SDRF, NDRF, police and civil defense teams are on the spot … the total number of affected people is being assessed.”
According to India’s department, Rajasthan experienced fresh rainfall in the last 24 hours as the monsoon moved forward in more parts of the state.
Himanshu Sharma, a meteorologist at Jaipur’s Meteorological Center, said that Suratgarh district recorded 70 mm of rainfall, while the state capital recorded 113 mm of rainfall.
“In the last 24 hours, the monsoon has entered some more districts of Rajasthan. Due to which monsoon rains have started in many places in Rajasthan. If we talk about the figures, then yesterday there was a maximum rainfall of 70 mm in Suratgarh in western Rajasthan.”
He further said that Sajjangar saw a maximum of 130 mm rainfall in Banswara district of eastern Rajasthan. “If we talk about East Rajasthan, Sajjangarh, Banswara, Eastern Rajasthan, recorded a maximum rainfall of 130 mm. Talking about the capital, 113 mm rainfall has been recorded in the stale of Jaipur,” he said.
The meteorologist said that the monsoon activity will continue on Rajasthan for the next two days, rain is expected in Pali, Jalore and Bermer districts. Ganganagar, Bikaner and Jaisalmer are likely to thunder and lightening.
“The monsoon will remain on the active platform for the next two days and the magic of rain will continue.
