A 30 -year -old man has been accused of killing a man and attempted to murder a priest in Downpatric, County Down over the weekend.
Police on Sunday discovered the body of 56 -year -old Stephen Branigan in a house in Marion Park on around 12:00 BST.
Fr John Murray is in the hospital after being hit on the head with a bottle, preparing to celebrate its final mass before retirement at St. Patrick’s Church in the city.
The man is scheduled to appear in the Nutounds Magistrate Court on Wednesday.
