New York Met’s Star Outfielder Juan Soto announced on Wednesday that he would play for the Republic of Dominican in 2026 World Baseball Classic, which would be particularly aired on Fox Network.
This will be the second time when Soto plays in the world baseball classic, with the Dominican Republic 2–2 and fails to get out of the pool D in the 2023 tournament. However, Soto was one of the bright places of the team, hit two domestic runs and was going 6 for 15.

Mets, of course, have a poor memory of the world baseball classic, as Edwin Diaz faced a torn Pateller Kandra in a festive pile after a Pureto Rico win in the previous tournament; Diaz missed the 2023 MLB season due to injury.
For Soto, in its first season with a five-time silver sluggish mate, which signed it on a record-breaking, 15-year, contract of $ 765 million. Thus, so far, the Soto has scored a total of eight domestic runs and 20 RBI, while .255/.380/.465 posts 1 DRS in the slash line and the right area.
